Code of Conduct

We want SE-RI to be a welcoming place where everyone feels comfortable participating. We believe SE-RI is an open forum for presenting ideas and discussions. We welcome new ideas and viewpoints, for our diversity makes us stronger. By participating in SE-RI Conference, whether as a speaker, volunteer, participant, or sponsor, you agree to abide by our code of conduct.

We have ZERO TOLERANCE for physical/verbal/sexual harassment of anyone at SE-RI. Our "Code of Conduct" is quite simple: "Do not be a JERK." Asking questions of a speaker during their talk, to get clarity or debate a point is NOT being a jerk - heckling or haranguing the speaker IS. If you are not sure, ask, or err on the side of basic decency and common courtesy. Please help us enforce this - if any participants are doing something would not be acceptable to have done to you (or any human being), do not let them treat anyone else that way. If you are having an issue with a SE-RI participant of ANY badge type, please find a SE-RI staff member, who will take an official incident report and determine next steps. Please note SE- RI Staff reserves the right to determine what constitutes "Being a JERK" and may take any action they deem appropriate.
